Sonny Strait is coming to ConnectiCon!

Most recognized as the voice of Krillin on the wildly popular, animated TV show Dragonball Z and as an illustrator for, arguably, the most famous, independently published comic book series Elfquest, Sonny Strait has over 20 years of experience in the arts.

As a voice actor, Sonny is considered to be one of the most recognized voice actors in the business. Besides Dragonball Z’s Krillin he has worked on many popular animated characters including Maes Hughes from Full Metal Alchemist, Usopp from One Piece, Koro Sensei from Assassination Classroom. Present Mic in My Hero Acedamia and Cartoon Network’s original laid back, robot host Toonami Tom. He has also worked as a writer and director on several TV series including Dragonball Z, Case Closed and Lupin the Third.

In the comic book field he has over 20 published works to date including his graphic novel series We Shadows published by Tokyopop and Elfquest which was published by WARP Graphics, Dark Horse and DC Comics. Sonny is considered one of the top Elfquest artists from its over 40 year history.

Most recently Sonny was cast as the life-loving killer Re-Destro in My Hero Acedamia and is currently working on the ElfQuest graphic novel series Skygazers Hunt for Dark Horse Comics.

Monica Rial has been working in the anime industry for 20 years and she is currently listed as the most prolific anime voice actor in the USA. She is best known for her work as Bulma in the Dragon Ball franchise but she has lent her voice to over 500 anime including: Black Butler, Cardcaptor Sakura Clear Card, Deadman Wonderland, Fairy Tail, Hello Kitty, Michiko & Hatchin, My Hero Academia, One Piece, OuranHost Club, Panty and Stocking, Saga of Tanya the Evil, Soul Eater, Yuri!!! on Ice, and many more. Derick Snow is best known for his role as Shinra Kusakabe in the Toonami anime Fire Force. Snow was born in Missouri and raised in Barrow, Alaska. In Los Angeles he quickly honed his craft, working in national commercials and musical theater. Now in Texas, he has voiced hundreds of projects you may enjoy.

In addition to video games, audio books and films, Derick brings his talent to an ever-growing roster of great anime. The hot new Fire Force can be experienced every week on Toonami and Funimation; Derick voices the lead Shinra Kusakabe as he follows the uneasy, spectacular path of a true hero. His first lead anime role was bespectacled eggplant-connoisseur Kei Kamatori in No-Rin, released in 2016. Other notable roles include magical Rill Boismortier (Black Clover) Supreme Kai Ro and Rabanra (Dragon Ball Super), Doctor 'Danny' Dickens (Angels of Death), puppet master Wall Eehto (Fairy Tail); Maeda Toshiie (Kochoki); Budori (Life of Budori Gusko), Mister Boobrie (Radiant), talking motorrad Hermes (Kino's Journey: The Beautiful World), Yagen Toushirou (Touken Ranbu); even singing as Roen (Dance With Devils) and Pupuko (Pop Team Epic).

Leah Clark is an American voice actor and Funimation Staff Script writer.
